The worst part is my fellow co-workers, who are almost half my age will very much want to see it and then tell me everything about this nonsense. Hollywood has truly lost it. To bad they cannot make good movies anymore. Americans can't even find it on a map, let alone conceive of how overwhelmingly imbalanced our advantage would be in geographical size, population, technology or money. While they're at it, what about invasion from those hulking military machines in Swaziland, Bhutan, and Greenland? It's so sad the population is so totally insulated inside a vast bubble of unreality that this stuff is being crapped out by Hollywood. There's that exchange between the brothers toward the end when one says to the other that if they kill the Russian hostage it will make them just as bad as the invaders and the other replies that the difference is that "this is our country", or something like that. I saw the trailer on Sunday when I went to a matinee. Not remembering the original Red Dawn at all, I honestly thought it was about an alien invasion from outer space. That's how absurd the idea of any country on this earth actually invading the US, hemorrhaging ship of state that it is. I was sort of wondering if the producers weren't asking to be accused of racism - wasn't it a bit odd to make the aliens look Oriental - kind of like ET all grown up in human drag I thought?

Then the next trailer came on and I forgot all about it till now.Gail Zawackihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01800944469843206253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3862216000300765627.post-44632654495131760112012-10-02T07:10:38.970-04:002012-10-02T07:10:38.970-04:00MGM gots 'em some serious Juche!
