Food Stamps were started by the Department of Agriculture as an effort to help farmers sell more food but farmers tend to vote Republican. Do away with food stamps and American farmers suffer, farms go out of business, food production drops and we are left with nothing to eat except Republicans and a few conservative Democrats.

Makes perfect sense to me.Billy Joneshttp://greensboroperformingarts.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3862216000300765627.post-91103697204216737492012-03-05T14:30:03.569-05:002012-03-05T14:30:03.569-05:00"Please don't feed the poor." It's always, that's wrong, don't spend that money on those people. So, when people can't feed themselves and their kids anymore, what should we do about that, huh, Mary? Well, the implied solution, based on the Park Service comment, appears to be to let them starve to death in the wild or become road kill to the mining and logging vehicles roaming through our "public" lands. Of course, nothing so drastic would actually happen because as people got increasingly weak and sick, they would go to hospitals, where they would be treated and fed (at outrageous costs compared to the SNAP program) and where, not being able to afford private insurance, their bills would be paid by... wait for it... the taxpayers and the insured (through increased premiums). So, instead of a humane, civilized, intelligent approach to this problem, she prefers an indirect approach that maximizes suffering and cost.

The mind simply reels....bmersonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3862216000300765627.post-73100557058279949172012-03-05T11:08:31.393-05:002012-03-05T11:08:31.393-05:00How much you wanna bet that many of Rep. That one has been used to great effect in a couple of genocides, right?

Using words like "wild animals" may not be enough to instigate outright violence towards a group, but it sure instills a disregard for the life of those individuals.

Ms. Franson can shake her fleshy, flabby arms at those animals- especially those horrible kids needing to eat.

We navigate so much pure bile and ugliness every single day. I think they want to reduce all of our humanity.

The more disregard and cruelty we show for each other the better, in their estimation.Jim Laheyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12440909311757922295noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3862216000300765627.post-8469614015322449062012-03-05T08:45:53.258-05:002012-03-05T08:45:53.258-05:00It appears to me that the republican's WANT Ob...It appears to me that the republican's WANT Obama to win.

It also appears to me that corporate America want Obama in the white house.

The illusion of choice is just that.
