The skills will not be maintained and taught in schools. Those with direct experience will mostly die off over time (many have already). Our reference materials and history will be stored on electronic media off in the "cloud".<br /><br />When the energy is no longer cheap or no longer easily accessible (or available at all for significant periods of time), I wonder how we will get by. How long will it take us to relearn skills and social behaviors that were well-ingrained in our entire population just a few generations ago?<br /><br />I suspect the answers are, not too well and too long.<br /><br />A pity.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
